ODEM 2013 | 06'05" | HD-Video

A black plastic bag is seen that merely adumbrates the outline of a head positioned underneath it. From the person’s breathing, the bag inflates until it fills the screen completely, subsequently deflating during “inhalation,” pressing against the head, and, in recurring but altered form, taking on the contours of the head. Hence different variations of a bust are created—shapes that vaguely imply the figure of a person, but also evoke associations of masks, sculptures, and mountains.
